Founder and Chairwoman
Laci Rankhorn is the founder and chairwoman of Azalea Recovery Alliance, as well as the owner and director of Redirect Counseling Services, a leading substance abuse treatment center in South Georgia. With more than 15 years of experience in the recovery community, she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use. Laci holds multiple certifications in addiction counseling and is widely recognized for her leadership, advocacy, and passion for building stronger recovery networks. Through her vision, Azalea Recovery Alliance was created to expand peer-led support, education, and resources for those seeking long-term recovery in South Georgia.
Secretary
Bonnie Stewart is a dedicated social services professional with over 14 years of experience supporting individuals and families in need. Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Valdosta State University. Throughout her career, Bonnie has developed a strong reputation for her compassion, problem-solving skills, and commitment to empowering communities through accessible resources and support. Beyond her professional life, Bonnie is a proud mother of three who finds joy in dancing, gardening, and caring for animals. She has a passion for personal growth and cultural exploration, with a lifelong dream of traveling to Scotland, Ireland, and England.
Treasurer
As Treasurer of Azalea Recovery Alliance, Brittany Harrell combines her professional experience with a personal passion for supporting those in recovery. A Lowndes County native, Brittany is deeply rooted in the community and committed to helping create a welcoming space where individuals can heal and thrive. She is a local real estate agent and a former lender, bringing valuable financial insight and stewardship to her role. In addition to her work with Azalea Recovery Alliance, Brittany also serves as Treasurer for the Greater Valdosta United Way, where she continues her dedication to service and community impact.
Tanya is a behavioral health professional dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, find hope, and create the lasting change that they desire in their lives. As a person in long term recovery herself, she is passionate about helping others find the same. She is a certified peer specialist-addictive disease (CPS-AD), a certified addiction counselor (CAC), and a certified addiction recovery empowerment specialist (CARES.)
Jessica Arnett is part of the Opioid Prevention Team at the Health Department. She works with organizations to educate community members on the signs and symptoms of possible overdoses as well as how to administer naloxone. She believes in the mission of Recovery Community Organizations our community so strongly because they can give people who are ready to get help a safe place to start where they won’t feel judged or alienated. It also gives people who are in recovery a safe environment where they can get support through meetings, group activities, counseling, and peer interactions. She is excited to be a part of Azalea Recovery Alliance!
Doug Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to advancing equity and access in behavioral health and social services. With a strong background in community mental health, he has worked to expand resources for individuals and families facing trauma, substance use, and systemic barriers to care. Doug’s work emphasizes policy, program development, and advocacy at the community level. He has experience addressing social determinants of health, developing recovery-oriented resources, and supporting initiatives that strengthen housing stability, healthcare access, and community resilience. As a board member, Doug brings a dedication to building collaborative solutions, advancing trauma-informed practices at the systems level, and ensuring that underserved populations have a voice in shaping services that impact their lives.
