Azalea Recovery Alliance, in partnership with Redirect Counseling and the Georgia Department of Health, are hosting our next Narcan training event on Wednesday, November 19 at Redirect Counseling (430 Connell Rd., Valdosta). Participants will be trained in how to administer nasal Narcan and receive information on how to obtain Narcan. FREE naloxone kits and donuts provided! Spots are limited, and pre-registration is required.
Friday, October 10 - Azalea Recovery Alliance joined Legacy Behavioral Health to celebrate World Mental Health Day at the Mental Health Fair. Kimberly Templin with Eagle Trail Kennels brought her incredible therapy dogs to help spread comfort, smiles, and awareness.
Wednesday, October 8 - Azalea Recovery Alliance, in partnership with Redirect Counseling and the Georgia Department of Health, hosted 20 guests for our first Narcan training event. In addition to how Narcan works and is used, participants learned the difference between opiates and opioids, how genetics can impact chances of addiction, myths and stigmas regarding opioid addiction, and resources for free Narcan kits.

Thursday, September 25 - Valdosta hosted Georgia Council for Recovery's annual GARecovers bus tour in Unity Park. The event offers peer-led conversations, resources, education, and support for those in recovery, love someone who is, or just wants to be part of the solution. Azalea Recovery Alliance invited the public to leave and take messages of support.
Friday, September 12 - Today, Lowndes County DUI Court Team hosted their yearly Recovery Walk emphasizing the need to share resources, build networks across the country to support recovery, and to serve as a reminder that mental and substance use disorders affect us all and that we are all a part of the solution. Azalea Recovery Alliance was there with resources for those in recovery.

Monday, August 18th, 2025 - A new Recovery Community Organization (RCO) is taking root in Georgia just in time for National Recovery Month, a nationwide celebration held every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery possible.
